Setting up Bigcommerce Live Chat Plugin
To set up live chat on your Big commerce store, you need to follow these steps:
- Login to your store control panel.
- Click on Settings and proceed to the Live Chat section of the Advanced Settings.
- Check the Other Third Party Live Chat Service box and click on the Save button.
- Open the Other Third Party Live Chat Service tab.
- Next, you will need your Chatrify code. Log in to Chatrify Dashboard, go to the Code section and copy the code.
- Paste your Chatrify code from the clipboard in the Live Chat Code box.
- Choose the location of the live chat to show up At the top of the page.
- Click on the Save button to finalize.
Congratulations! Your store has now now a live chat option for your visitors to use.
Adding live chat to your mobile page
If you have a mobile version of your website and you want to display live chat on it, you will need to add it separately. To do that, go through the following steps:
- Log in to your Bigcommerce account and go to the Design section.
- In the Mobile tab, click on the Download Template Files button.
- Edit the default.html file from the template in a text editor and add your Chatrify Code before the </body> tag.
- Upload the updated theme to your Bigcommerce (here’s a tutorial on how to do it).
Once the upload is complete, your mobile websites will also be able to contact you via Chatrify.
